David is the Chairman and CEO of Kingston Companies since 1999 and has been the CEO of Dave Kingston Produce, Inc. since 1977. He started in sales at Hurley Produce in 1972 and acquired it in 1977.
David is the Chairman and CEO of Kingston Companies, positions he has held since the Company’s formation in 1999. Since 1977, Dave has been CEO of Dave Kingston Produce, Inc. Dave worked in sales for the predecessor company to Dave Kingston Produce, Inc., Hurley Produce, from 1972 until he acquired Hurley Produce in 1977.
The broad enterprises of the Kingston Companies include Kingston & Associates Marketing, Kingston Properties LP, Associated Brokerage as well as several joint ventures in commercial and residential real estate development and property management, trucking and distribution. In the last thirty years, Dave has started, acquired, and joint-ventured over 100 business enterprises.
Dave has held positions and serves on several public and private advisor boards in the agri-business sector and philanthropic endeavors. His service includes the U.S. federal PACA Task force, Chairman of the Board of the Idaho Growers and Shippers Association, National Legislative Committee for United Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Association, interim CEO of Wisdom Media Group, and various advisory positions for Wholelife, Campaign for Better Health, Higher Ground for Humanity, The Clearwater Project, Souls Foundation, and Joe Foss Institute.
Dave attended Weber State College, University of Utah and graduate school at Stanford University.
