Denis Punter is a highly accomplished executive in the fresh produce and foodservice industries, with over four decades of leadership experience.
He began his career in finance at Spillers & Dalgety before moving into fresh produce as Finance Director at Glass Glover, where he helped triple the business through acquisitions. Denis held senior leadership roles at Geest, ultimately becoming CEO of its Wholesale & Foodservice Division.
He led a management buyout to form Francis Nicholls, which evolved into Redbridge, a $300m+ group with strong retail, foodservice, and wholesale operations. After selling Redbridge to Total Produce in 2007, Denis became Chairman, leading its integration and expansion, including growing Total's North American business from zero to $2B in sales.
He played a key role in the merger with Dole and the subsequent IPO of Dole PLC, now the world’s largest fresh produce company Denis has continued to support Dole in strategic roles and serves as a Non-Executive Director for several companies, including Reynolds.
